The IHU Infiny project has been selected to move on to the next stage of the call for projects process initiated by France 2030, aimed at creating 6 new IHUs in France.
On the way to the next and final stage
After submitting its application on November 4, 2022, the project’s sponsors were eagerly awaiting the jury’s verdict. On January 12, 2023, the jury rendered its verdict: Nancy’s project has been selected to move on to the final stage of the process, which may enable it to carry out its project for a UHI specialized in IBD. All of the project’s stakeholders will have to redouble their efforts to successfully complete the final stage of the call for projects launched by France 2030.
Solid assets to build on
Led by Professor Laurent Peyrin-Biroulet, a specialist in chronic infectious bowel diseases, the Nancy University Hospital Centre, the University of Lorraine, Inserm and the Greater Nancy Metropolitan Area, the IHU Infiny project brings together all of Nancy’s expertise and excellence in health, research and innovation around a strong collective dimension.
Paving the way for the cure of chronic infectious diseases of the intestine
In France, 1 in 10 people suffer from an inflammatory bowel disease. Several research avenues are being developed to further improve existing treatments. The Nancy project, called “IHU Infiny”, is intended to be eco-responsible and will specialize in the treatment of IBD (chronic inflammatory bowel disease) with the ambition of improving and accelerating the detection of IBD, preventing its onset and complications, and offering patients early and personalized treatment at 360°.
See you on February 1, 2023 for the last step that may allow the final validation of the IHU Infiny project in Nancy.
