It took the medical world a long time to make the link between our rich, often excessive, Western diet and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, commonly known as IBD.
The University of Lorraine is home to pioneers in the understanding and treatment of these diseases, first and foremost Professor Laurent Peyrin-Biroulet, a world reference in the field, who has received several international awards. With his team at the Regional University Hospital Center and the N-GERE laboratory, Laurent Peyrin-Biroulet innovates and promotes therapeutic patient education.
This film, directed by Jérôme Didelot in November 2022, is produced by the University of Lorraine (sub-directorate of digital uses / audiovisual and multimedia production) with the support of its Scientific Council, with contributions from Laurent Peyrin-Biroulet, Didier Quilliot and Muriel Veltin.
