As an Associate Professor and Hospital Practitioner (MCU-PH), with an Accreditation to Supervise Research (HDR), I have developed over more than twenty years a career at the interface between fundamental research, medical biology and clinical research. My scientific background within research units has focused on biochemistry, lipid metabolism and neuroscience, with a particular interest today in the mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease and their translation into biomarkers and novel diagnostic approaches.
My hospital-based activities and responsibilities within Nancy University Hospital, the Lorraine Biological Resource Centre and the Clinical Research and Innovation Department (DRCI) complement this scientific background with hands-on experience in clinical research, medical biology, quality management, and the leadership of research structures and projects.
This dual background, together with my involvement in the scientific governance bodies of Université de Lorraine and Nancy University Hospital, has given me a broad understanding of the research environment, its stakeholders and its tools, spanning the continuum from fundamental research to clinical research and translation into medical practice.
