Vitamin B9/B12 deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia are risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases. Our team’s discovery of post-translational modifications of specific proteins through N-homocysteinylation has led to the development of research projects investigating their contribution to phenotypic variability in Huntington’s, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s diseases. We use cellular and animal models, as well as patient cohorts.
